BAS is governed by the laws on information commonly referred to as GDPR -General Data Protection Regulation  -which means (amongst other things) we can only share information with your permission. BAS does not share individual member or individual animal data with Government.

1       Protection of a member’s personal data

The BAS publishes its membership lists on the Society’s website in both the public and member areas. Minimal information is included unless, a member gives permission for other details to be released. Members can change the level of information available as required, either through the Administrator or directly via ‘Manage your own herd’ on the BAS website.

2       Membership application form

The membership form gives all members the ability to opt out of member or third-party mailings and to indicate the level of information to be included in published lists and on the website.

3.     Mailing lists in electronic form

Mailing lists in electronic format are provided only to the BAS magazine publishers for the purposes of magazine distribution.
