Less than 2 hours  south of Paris the town of Salbris once again plays host to The Association Alpaga Developpements 6th International Alpaca Show.

Salbris,  a small town of just over 6,000 inhabitants, is situated in the heart of Sologne, Loir et Cher which is said to be the hunting capital of France.

The venue itself is the Ecurie de Rivaulde which was once part of the magnificent Chateau de Rivaulde,  parts of which date back to the 15th century, and is now classified as an historical monument.  Now privately owned it is let out for equestrian events .

Being centrally situated in France the show attracts participants from not only the four corners of France but neighbouring European countries . The French alpaca industry is currently developing at the rate of 15% per year, since its inception in 2008, the Alpaga Developpement's show has reflected this growth.  The last show at Salbris saw record entries of 154, and with more and more new breeders coming into the industry wishing to show their animals, this is set to continue to rise.

The show will take place on Saturday 30th March, arrival the evening of the 29th.
A breeders meal is to be organised for the Saturday evening for anyone wishing to stay over and leave Sunday morning.
