South of England Alpaca Show donate money to the BAS welfare fund

29 June 2015

Each year Liz Butler who organises the South of England Alpaca Show provides drinks for exhibitors free of charge although asks for donations to go towards the health & welfare fund for Camelids. The donations that were recieved at this year's show in June were split between the British Llama Society and the British Alpaca Society and Liz has kindley sent in half of which was donated to the British Alpaca Society which is very much appreciated.

The British Alpaca Society welfare fund was established to pay for expenses ensuing primarily from the rehoming of alpacas in distress on welfare grounds, for example, if the alpaca is abandoned or the owner dies. to pay for expenses ensuing primarily from the rehoming of alpacas in distress on welfare grounds, for example, if the alpaca is abandoned or the owner dies.
