The British Alpaca Futurity is to date the biggest alpaca show in Europe, supporting British farmers by the promotion of home bred alpacas and showcasing the fibre to fashion industry.

The event hosts Alpaca halter classes and a shorn fleece show open to European breeders, all being judged by international judges Peter Kennedy (Australia/AOA) and Wade Gease (AOA).

This year’s show will also feature the p-Lush Show which will showcase over 70 fibre and textile artists and a programme of workshops.  Designers, makers, professional textile artists and companies selling hand-made objects and designs will be exhibiting at the co-located show which aims to promote the British making and designing industry.

Knitters are invited to take part in the Sit-n-Knit-a-Bit campaign running up to the show by making something using special scarlet Plush needles and crochet hooks to raise money for Target Ovarian Cancer, said the organiser.
