Entries are invited for the above and should be sent to:  Julia Corrigan-Stuart, CS Alpacas, Ford Farm Barn, Chapel Road, Ford Bucks  HP17 8XE.

The opening date for entry is the 29th July 2015 and the closing date is 6th September 2015.  Entries can be found on the BAS website, via ‘manage your herd’.  Please feel free to send/deliver your fleeces once you have done your entry, but they must be at CS Alpacas by Friday 18th September 2015 at the latest.

The prize winning fleeces will be on display from midday, at CS Alpacas on Sunday 27th September 2015, where there will be refreshments and the judges will be present to discuss the judged fleeces.

The cost of entry for this event will be £10.

All fleeces can be collected after the show from Sunday onwards from CS Alpacas or, alternatively, they can be posted back and you will be invoiced for the postage after the completion of the show.  Please make sure you include a return address label when sending in the fleeces.  If arrangements are not made by the end of the show, the fleeces will be donated to the BAS for educational courses.  Please mark clearly how your fleeces are to be returned on the entry form.

How to send your fleeces

Fleeces must be delivered to Julia Corrigan-Stuart, CS Alpacas, Ford Farm Barn, Chapel Road, Ford, Bucks  HP17 8XE no later than Friday 18th September 2015.  Please feel free to send them as soon as you have done your entry on line and not wait until the deadline date.

Please pack fleeces in unmarked clear plastic bags, along with the entry forms produced when you make the on-line entry (via ‘manage your herd’ on the BAS website).

Please specify what you would like done with your fleeces after the show:

1. Collect fleeces from CS Alpacas on Sunday 27th September after the show, or any time after that.

2. Have fleeces posted back – I will invoice you after I have sent the fleeces, so please make sure you enclose a return address label, and enclose this with the fleece and entry form.

3. If you do not require your fleece returned, it will be donated to the BAS for training courses.

Any queries, please contact Julia on mobile: 07803726464 or email: julia@csalpacas.co.uk

Handlers required

We are looking for as many helpers as possible for this event to make the judging run smoothly.  Refreshments will be provided on both days.

We will require helpers on the 25th and 26th September 2015, and would be very grateful if you could spend some of your time, either a half or a full day, to help us out in this.

You do not need any previous experience, just an interest is all that is required.  It is a fantastic opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the finest fleeces in the country and to see how the fleeces are actually judged.  Also, it is a great opportunity to meet other alpaca enthusiasts.  Whether experienced or a complete novice, there is so much you can learn and can take home to evaluate your own herd.

If you are willing to help, please contact Julia of CS Alpacas on mobile: 07803726464 or email: julia@csalpacas.co.uk.
