Alpaca Judge Stage 1 Course

The next course is on the 4th & 5th April 2014  and will take place at Bozedown Alpacas, Bozedown Farm, Hardwick Road, Whitcurch on Thames, Reading, RG8 7QY

Currently, candidates are required to pass Alpaca Assessment (Foundation) before progressing to Alpaca Judge Stage 1 and Alpaca Judge Stage 2. They must then undertake four successful apprenticeships with qualified BAS judges before passing the final certification examination.

The Alpaca Judge Stage 1 course concentrates on training in the assessment of alpacas using the comparative method for halter and the absolute method for fleece. It is essentially a practical course.

To quailify as a BAS judge can take up to 2 years
