Yorkshire Alpaca Group Show

7 September 2016

Entry fees have increased to £20 + VAT and will be limited to 125 due to the tent size.

The Yorkshire Alpaca Group are pleased to announce that our annual Colour Championship Show is moving to an exciting new venue this year.

We will be holding the show as part of the Countryside Live event at the Great Yorkshire Show ground in Harrogate.

The halter classes will be in our own dedicated marquee on Saturday 22nd October with room for 125 entries.-N.B. Exhibitors in the BAS Halter classes on the Saturday may bring in their alpacas on Friday evening or Saturday morning ( times to be confirmed in the Exhibitors' letter which will be sent out prior to the Show) and can leave when the Judging has finished as usual. It is optional for everyone if they wish to stay on and join in the Alpaca Fun Day on the Sunday.

As Countryside Live is a 2 day show the marquee will be transformed over night by Yorkshire fairies for An Alpaca Fun Day on Sunday 23rd October.  We will hold the young handler class, fancy dress, alpaca pet and multi classes, there will be craft demonstrations, displays and all things related to alpaca and their wonderful fibre.  Nearby there will be an alpaca product marquee with Yorkshire Alpaca Group members selling their wonderful crafts.

The Countryside Live event attracts over 10000 visitors and will be a great showcase for the Championship and promoting the joys of alpaca.  Dogs are not allowed in the show ground so please leave your pooches at home and book your place when entries open.

We will have lots of opportunities for BAS members from all over the country to be involved and to promote your alpaca businesses through sponsorship, banners, advert in catalogue and stalls.
