AGM and Articles

25 July 2018

Resolutions put to an AGM require a 75% vote in favour to be passed. On review, as the percentage in favour of Resolution 1 at the 2018 AGM was only 70.4%, this Resolution failed. The Resolution was a cosmetic change designed to clarify the situation regarding member behaviour on social media which is deemed by the Board to cause the Society’s name to be brought into disrepute.

The Board still has the necessary powers in respect of members behaving inappropriately on social media.

A copy of the Articles as amended at the AGM and amended draft minutes of the 2018 AGM are available in the members' area.
