AGM 2010

The BAS AGM will be held on Saturday 13 March 2010 at the National Beekeeping Centre, Stoneleigh Park, Kenilworth, Warwickshire CV8 2LG, beginning at 11.00 am.

If you have not already done sow, please notify the Society Secretary (secretary@bas-uk.com) as soon as possible if you plan to attend the AGM. The reply slip can be downloaded here

The AGM will be followed by a talk by James Barnett on 'The VLA, Disease Surveillance and Camelids'.

Since qualifying in 1988, James Barnett has worked in mixed practice and as a vet at Whipsnade Wild Animal Park, the National Seal Sanctuary and the Sea Life Centres. In 1998, he took up a post in small animal clinical pathology and pathology. He joined the Veterinary Laboratories Agency at Starcross, Exeter in 2005, transferring to Truro in 2008.

As a Veterinary Investigation Officer, James is involved in provision of primarily farm animal diagnostic and consultancy services. He is deputy programme manager for the VLA’s Miscellaneous Captive and Exotic Species Programme and also manage a tuberculosis project. 
 
Outside the VLA, he has been veterinary director/coordinator of the charity, British Divers' Marine Life Rescue since 1998.

Non-members are invited to attend.
