BAS Training Courses 2011–2012
Alpaca Evaluation
This is a new course designed for those who want to learn more about alpaca conformation and fibre. It is a one-day classroom-based course which can be held on a farm premises or in a village hall. The course runs from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm. Attendees will receive course notes including a glossary of terms. There will be an opportunity to assess fleeces and discuss the merits of different qualities and styles.
It is hoped that this course will be offered by regional groups. Details of any arranged will be posted here.

BAS Training Courses 2012
BAS has agreed a schedule of training courses until the end of 2012. The programme will include Alpaca Assessment (both Foundation and Advanced), Alpaca Judging (both Stage 1 and Stage 2) and a chance to attend a workshop with Brett Kaysen from the USA on Form and Function.
The Alpaca Assessment (Foundation) has been split into three separate modules covering Suri, Form and Function, and Huacaya. They will be held consecutively so that delegates may attend one, two or all three days.
All courses, apart from the Brett Kaysen workshop, will be held at Bozedown Alpacas, Whitchurch, Reading.
